Visitors to the 17th South African Cheese Festival can once again expect a truly unique experience of cheese and more.
Seeing that this weekend will be the National Cheese Festival, Pete Goffe-Wood will be doing a show dedicated to cheese in all it’s glory. Tune in at 2pm for some special pairings, tips and recipes.
Come taste a dazzling variety of cheeses, pair your favourites with wine and the finest local produce, and relax with family and friends. The award-winning SA Cheese Festival, the biggest outdoor culinary event in Southern Africa, takes place over three days from Friday, 27 April (Freedom Day) to Sunday, 29 April 2018 at Sandringham, home of the #SACheeseFest. Entertainment includes live music by popular artist, three food theaters with presentations by celebrity chefs, as well as fun activities for kids such as the Ladismith Cheese Carving Competition.
Tickets are available at Computicket (online and in Shoprite and Checkers stores) at R180 per person per day. Senior citizens pay R120 and children from 2 to 13 years pay R20. No tickets will be sold at the gates. The festival times are from 10:00 to 18:00 daily. Sandringham is located next to the N1, Stellenbosch turn-off (exit 39), between Cape Town and Paarl.
