In the summer of 1986, in the sleepy human trafficking town of Paras, Mexico a beautiful baby was born. He would one day become known as the Mexican. After a misadventure to the States, the Mexican and his family ended up on a container ship headed for the beautiful city of Cape Town. It was here where he would flourish.
A man with talents including acting, photography, writing, partying like a Latino Charlie Sheen and delivering fresh music to his listeners, there isn’t much this cholo can’t do.
So why is this Mexican so revered? It’s simple really. He’s really lovable. Some call him the lovable Mexican. Others call him the Dirty Mexican, or the Sexxican. Whatever you call him, know this, he loves you and would love to party with you. If you’re female he’d love to wine and dine you, and will probably skip the dine and move on to dessert with wine.
The Spicy Afternoon Fiesta With The Dirty Mexican is a feast of the freshest tunes ranging from everything from Psytrance, Deep House, Minimal Tech, Indie, Rock, Hip Hop, Chillwave, and so on. If it’s not too mainstream, it will be played here. If you’ve never heard an artist before, this where you will hear it. Regular guests range from famous infamous – this fiesta always packs a pinata of surprises!
Tune in for some dirty spicy fun every Monday and Tuesday between 15h00 and 17h00, and remember to hide your kids, hide your wife and your husband cause the Mexican will sex everyone’s ears!

In the ever growing chaos of our already busy lives we often don’t have time to think about balanced meals for our families, and it is far easier to stop on at the convenience store on the way home from work to grab a microwavable family dinner than it is to prepare one. Many parents have, or are still in the thrall of exam chaos at this time of the year, and Mommy Matters recently attended a Mom’s Store Tour hosted by Woolworths, which highlights the importance of nutritious meals to make our family and specifically children, function at their academic best.
Woolworths Dietician Cindy Chin who had this to say: “Exams are a stressful time for both parent and child. With these tours we aim to provide practical guidelines to help them put together meals and snacks that can optimise energy levels and assist parents to better understand the nutritional information provided on labels. We also encourage participants to ask as many questions as possible during the store tour, so we can assist with those on the spot”.
Cindy Chin joined the studio to answer all listener questions you have around healthy food options for your children during exam times, challenges parents are facing with those fussy eaters, no matter what age, as well as how you can participate in these Woolworths Mom’s Store Tours. Podcast below!
If you haven’t yet dipped your toe into the pleasurable experience of positive vibes of the Bailey Schneider Show every afternoon on 2oceansvibe Radio from 14h00 to 15h00, then it isn’t too late to start.
“She’s the girl with the golden voice and infectious laugh.”
Having been named after “Bailey”, a radio presenter character in the TV series WKRP in Cincinnati (really really), there wasn’t much wiggle room for fate to allow her to do anything apart from professional broadcasting.
Bailey started her radio career at the tender age of 17 years old on RAU Radio.
In 2004, Bailey joined top commercial radio station, 94.7 Highveld Stereo, and in 2005 she was invited to be a part of the Afternoon Drive show Monday to Friday with Alex Jay. While the show continually changed, Bailey remained the constant, working and co-hosting with various well-known personalities including Revin John, Brad Brown, Patrick Hayworth, Jeremy Harris, Rob Forbes, Ian F and Mark Pilgrim.
After seven years, Bailey made the switch to the freedom of Online Radio.
Expect the hottest music and the most interesting interviews with local and international guests, covering subject including music, arts, film, TV, beauty, fashion, décor, health, and fitness.
You’ll be drawn to her bubbly, beautiful, warm and approachable manner, and she is as nice in person as she sounds on air, we absolutely guarantee that.
Bailey brings as interesting perspective to 2oceansvibe Radio, having only recently moved to the Mother City, but still deeply rooted in Johannesburg, which she visits regularly for work, and to visit her family.
“I’m blessed enough to be living in 2 of the best cities in the world.”
Despite her busy schedule, she still finds the time to write and showcase her photography on her personal daily, lifestyle blog called Vanilla Blonde, which you can check out, here.
Nominated Best Newcomer in People Magazine’s Crystal Awards, Awarded Best Traffic Presenter by FHM, 5o Hottest Celebrity Dates and 100 Sexiest Women in the World for two consecutive years as well as being nominated twice for a MTN Radio Award in 2011 and 2012, the woman has bona fide skillz.
And now, a note from the lady herself:
I am obsessed with my English Bulldog, Duke and seriously can’t get enough of his squashed face and cuddles. He’s become quite a public pup too – and people love him on Instagram and Vanilla Blonde.
I am obsessed with vanilla tea- it courses through my veins. I was born in South Africa and I’m of Swiss heritage. I’m SLOWLY writing a novel – it’s taking some time, but I’ll publish it – eventually – when the time is right.
I look like a tourist everywhere I go, because I love photography and hardly go anywhere without my Canon SLR camera.
My family and friends are incredible important to me. They are my rocks, my support, my souls and I love them dearly.
Tune in, right now!
